NFLPA Community MVPs Recognized for Leadership Off of the Field

The NFLPA Community MVP recognizes players who are making a positive impact in their local communities. This past season, the NFLPA celebrated 15 players who each demonstrated a strong commitment to giving back to his community, and in turn, made a donation to the player’s foundation or cause.

The NFLPA looks forward to continuing this tradition during the 2015 season as a way to showcase players who are just as dedicated off the field as they are on the field.

Additionally, check back next week for the announcement of the five finalists for the prestigious Byron “Whizzer” White Award, the highest honor the NFLPA can bestow on a player. The award honors the player who best serves his team, community and country in the spirit of Byron Raymond “Whizzer” White. The late Supreme Court Justice was a scholar, athlete, patriot, humanitarian and public servant – the personification of the ideal to which professional football players aspire. The award will be presented at the annual NFLPA Player Representative meetings in March.
