Today, the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) announced it is creating a program that will offer paid internships to Veterans or active members of the United States Armed Forces who are interested in careers in the sports industry. The internships, named after NFL player and Navy Veteran Bill Radovich, will offer those who serve in America's military an opportunity to kick off their careers in sports.

“We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to members of our Armed Forces, especially on this Veterans Day,” said DeMaurice Smith, NFLPA Executive Director. “We know how tough the job market is in America. A small way we can help those that sacrifice the most to is to provide them with experience at the NFLPA as a start to a career in sports.”

The NFLPA will begin accepting applications on December 10, 2012.

More detailed information about the program will be available on that date at NFLPlayers.com.
