Last week at the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Courage Awards and Benefit Dinner in Manhattan, the NFL Players Association and New York Giant Devon Kennard joined hundreds of passionate supporters in honoring and empowering the nation’s wounded veterans, their families and caregivers.

The NFLPA is a charitable partner of the WWP providing sports business and empowerment opportunities for WWP alumni and current and former NFL players, throughout the year.

“It was a true honor to attend the Courage Awards and support the Wounded Warrior Project,” said Kennard, who represented the NFLPA. “I was deeply moved by meeting some of the country’s true heroes, and getting a chance to see firsthand the impact that the Wounded Warrior Project's staff and business partners are making in their lives.”

Ensuring the mental and physical health of each organization’s members, is a goal for both the NFLPA and WWP. Through engagement and fundraising the partnership is creating meaningful support for this generation’s injured servicemen and women, and their families.

Stanley Black & Decker received the "Empowerment Award" for devoting time to raising awareness for needs of the wounded. Harley-Davidson was honored with the "Service Award" for dedicating time to grassroots efforts in support of the warriors served by WWP.
