Denver's Garett Bolles Selected As Week 1 NFLPA Community MVP
Washington D.C. – Garett Bolles has been named as the first NFLPA Community MVP of the 2025 season after he and his wife, Natalie, opened the Bjorem + Bolles Childhood Apraxia Training Center in Parker, Colorado.
“I'm honored to receive the NFLPA Community MVP Award,” the Denver Broncos offensive lineman said. “The Bjorem & Bolles Childhood Apraxia Training Center is deeply personal to our family, and I'm grateful to help give kids like my son Kingston a voice.”
The Bolles family partnered with speech-language pathologist Jennie Bjorem to establish the B+B Center through the GB3 Foundation and the I Am King Initiative. Inspired by their son Kingston, who was diagnosed with childhood apraxia — a motor speech disorder where the brain has difficulty coordinating the muscle movements needed to speak — the Bolleses made a six-figure donation to personally fund the creation of this first-of-its-kind facility.
The center is dedicated to training speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS). This facility will provide hands-on training, develop specialized curriculum, offer family-focused resources and foster a supportive community hub where every child with apraxia can feel empowered and supported in their journey to communicate.
Bolles’ commitment to children and families extends beyond this initiative. Growing up with ADHD and other learning disabilities, he understands firsthand the challenges that young people face when navigating obstacles. He credits a strong support system with helping him stay on track and ultimately achieve his NFL dream.
That lived experience became the driving force behind the GB3 Foundation, which focuses on empowering children and youth who are experiencing similar struggles by providing them with resources, guidance and opportunities to build a solid foundation for their futures.
This season, Bolles will take part in the “I Am King” giveback campaign, aimed at promoting education, empathy and understanding to members of the learning disability community. The ninth–year offensive tackle has pledged to donate $1,000 for every Broncos game without a sack allowed and $500 for every Broncos rushing touchdown.
Bolles also plans to continue his commitment to the Vertical Skills Academy, a non-profit school located in Evergreen, Colorado that specializes in empowering students with dyslexia and related language-based differences to reach their full potential through the use of evidence-based, multi-sensory instruction. Since 2020, Bolles has made virtual and in-person visits to VSA and also welcomed students to a panel discussion and Broncos game at Empower Field at Mile High.
Along with his free football camp every summer, Bolles’ work with youth extends to a local juvenile detention center in Colorado. His transparency during visits and commitment to being an outlet for kids in the juvenile system has provided them with a renewed sense of hope and inspiration.
In recognition of Bolles being named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 1, the NFL Players Association will donate $10,000 to the GB3 Foundation. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA’s highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.
As part of a new supporting partnership with GoFundMe, the world’s leading fundraising platform, fans can now also make a difference by contributing to the NFLPA Community MVP’s selected nonprofit.
