Matt Curtin serves as President of NFL Players Inc., the for-profit licensing and marketing arm of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA). Over the past year, his visionary leadership has solidified NFL Players Inc. as a top 25 global licensor. Managing commercial rights for over 2,000 NFL players, the organization generates $3 billion in annual retail sales through partnerships with over 150 partners across e-commerce, mobile, direct-to-consumer, and in-store channels.

The Commercial Strategy & Legal team safeguards the business and drives growth for NFL Players Inc., the for-profit marketing and licensing arm of the NFLPA. We manage legal risk across all business verticals to protect player revenue streams and ensure compliance, while providing strategic guidance on business initiatives, commercial partnerships, and new revenue-generating opportunities.

Consumer Products and Strategy (Licensing)
The Consumer Products and Strategy department brings player IP to life through a diverse range of licensed products and experiences, spanning from apparel, hardlines, and collectibles, to gaming, digital platforms, and location-based entertainment. Leveraging NFL Players Inc.’s group licensing rights, this team partners with 75+ licensees to deliver innovative products that elevate players in the marketplace and generate additional income through royalties.
They manage the full lifecycle of partnerships—beginning with new business procurement, then driving account management, overseeing artwork approvals, coordinating marketing activations, and ensuring accurate royalty payments.

Partner Services
The Partner Services department supports all facets of partnership marketing for companies with official NFL sponsorships, working closely with all 32 NFL clubs and additional strategic partners to maximize the use of group player rights. Our team collaborates with partners on the planning, execution, servicing, and integration of NFL players within annual promotional campaigns to ensure impactful and authentic player-driven activations. In addition to delivering group player rights, Partner Services oversees creative executions featuring NFL players and serves as the central resource for managing player usage, approvals, and brand alignment across all partner initiatives.

Marketing
The Marketing department oversees the business-to-business marketing strategies and plans across multiple platforms including campaigns, events, media and digital to amplify the business arm of the NFLPA, NFL Players Inc. Marketing promotes NFL players and our brand, by bringing awareness to the services of the NFLPA and enhancing relationships among players, partners and staff.
