DRINKICKS SECURES VICTORY AT 2024 NFLPA PITCH DAY

LAS VEGAS, February 7, 2024 - DrinKicks, the pioneering startup renowned for its distinctive sneaker products, clinched the top spot at the 2024 NFLPA Pitch Day. A panel of judges distinguished DrinKicks as the standout contestant, recognizing its products' potential for a strong consumer connection and its effective utilization of NFL player marketing influence.

Co-founded by Kristeen Reynolds, DrinKicks is a consumer-packaged goods company with a sneaker theme, dedicated to repurposing food waste, utilizing recycled materials, and promoting a circular economy.

As the winning pitch, DrinKicks receives $25,000 in NFLPA marketing consultation, services, and NFL player activations. This triumph followed a pitch session where early-stage companies, including Playfinity and RevereXR, presented their visions to a panel of professional athletes and industry experts. 

Chosen from a pool of over 200 applicants, the three selected companies pitched to entrepreneurial athletes and business leaders, including Kelvin Beachum, Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman, Ryan Nece, Managing Partner at Next Legacy Partners and a former NFL player, and Fielding Jamieson, Strategy & Innovation Executive. 

The program serves as a platform for innovative businesses with cutting-edge consumer products and technologies to pitch their innovations, aiming for funding, strategic consultations, and exclusive marketing opportunities with NFL players. 

Launched in 2017, NFLPA Pitch Day has played a pivotal role in assisting early-stage companies, in boosting their businesses by aligning with athlete influence and leveraging the marketing capabilities and sports business investor network of the NFLPA. Past winners, including Healium, WHOOP, round21, SwayBrand, and Culina Health, stand as testimonials to the transformative impact of NFLPA Pitch Day on emerging businesses.
