WASHINGTON, D.C., March 15, 2024 - The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) announced Friday that it will host its second annual NFLPA Classic this month. The tailor-made golf tournament  offers a unique opportunity for 64 NFL players and their families to participate in a memorable, world-class experience while strengthening bonds beyond the gridiron.

The three-day event, taking place March 21-23, promises an all-inclusive destination experience, catering to some of the NFL’s most competitive golfers. Set in Riviera Maya, Mexico, the tournament unites players of top-level golfing talent for friendly competition and networking. Recognizing the importance of fostering brotherhood, camaraderie and business relationships, players will also engage in networking events, forging new connections with fellow players as well as with VIPs from the NFLPA and event sponsors.

The event will feature 16 team captains leading their respective foursomes in the tournament. Captains include Joel Bitonio, Jacoby Brissett, Gabe Davis, Austin Ekeler, Dallas Goedert, Jordan Hicks, Marlon Humphrey, Aidan Hutchinson, Cole Kmet, Will Levis, Wil Lutz, Von Miller, Desmond Ridder, Harrison Smith, Courtland Sutton and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

This year, the NFLPA Classic has teamed up with several partners, including WHOOP, Fanatics, TaylorMade, UNRL, Eastside Golf, Nike, Outerstuff, Wincraft, Imperial, Party Animal, UPI Marketing, and Trophy Smack. WHOOP, Eastside Golf, TaylorMade and UNRL will be featured as Gifting Suite partners, while WHOOP will be the on-course hospitality partner.

The NFLPA Classic is the realization of a vision by JC Tretter, the former NFLPA president and nine-year NFL veteran. Last year, 48 players convened in the Bahamas for the inaugural event, where Von Miller’s group clinched the trophy.

As an event exclusively designed for NFL players and their families, the NFLPA Classic is not open to the public or media. For more information and behind-the-scenes content, follow our X and Instagram channels: @NFLPA.

About the NFLPA

The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) is the union for professional football players in the National Football League. Established in 1956, the NFLPA has a long history of assuring proper recognition and representation of players’ interests. The NFLPA has shown that it will do whatever is necessary to assure that the rights of players are protected—including ceasing to be a union, if necessary, as it did in 1989. In 1993, the NFLPA again was officially recognized as the union representing the players and negotiated a landmark Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL. The current CBA will govern the sport through the 2030 season. Learn more at www.nflpa.com.
