WASHINGTON D.C., January 22, 2016 – TinyCo, a popular mobile game developer and publisher, and the NFL Players Association (NFLPA), via its licensing and marketing arm NFL Players Inc., launched a “Road to the Big Game” promotion that allows players of the hilarious mobile game adventure “Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff” to unlock and interact with some of the biggest NFL players, both past and present. NFL stars Tom Brady, Richard Sherman, and Brett Favre provide voiceovers for the game, with other notable players including Cam Newton appearing as characters. The “Road to the Big Game” promotion runs from January 18 through February 8.

Released in 2014 on the App Store, Google Play, and Amazon Appstore, “Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff” has seen an incredible amount of success since launch, garnering tens of millions of downloads and consistently remaining at the top of the grossing charts. The award-winning content is written in collaboration with the writers of the hit animated series. Within the game, players can rally their favorite Family Guy characters, and now favorite NFL stars, to rebuild Quahog after it is destroyed by an epic battle with the Giant Chicken. Past in-game collaborations have included beloved entertainment properties like Ghostbusters and Terminator, as well as celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis and Deadmau5.

The NFLPA helped identify and secure players for this opportunity as part of the collaboration with TinyCo to provide fans with a unique new way to engage with their favorite players in the uproarious mobile game escapade.

Established in 1956, the NFLPA has a long history of assuring proper recognition and representation of players’ interests. The NFLPA has shown that it will do whatever is necessary to assure that the rights of players are protected—including ceasing to be a union, if necessary, as it did in 1989. In 1993, the NFLPA again was officially recognized as the union representing the players, and negotiated a landmark Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL. The current CBA will govern the sport through 2020.
