WHAT IS THE INFLUENCER HOT LIST?

The NFLPA Influencer Hot List, powered by Zoomph, is designed to help marketers and brands gain a deeper understanding of the impact and influence NFL players have on social media. Leveraging a proprietary Social Marketability Index, the NFLPA and Zoomph collaborate to build this annual list by analyzing a wide range of social metrics for active players across the league.

Methodology: The Influencer Hot List ranks NFL players based on their overall social performance score. This score is calculated using multiple factors, including the number of organic posts, total followers, engagement rate, impressions, and follower interaction rate. Each metric contributes to a cumulative score, with a maximum possible score of 125.

Beyond rankings, the NFLPA can evaluate social media behavior to help brands connect with the right players for partnerships and campaigns. This includes assessing additional criteria such as posting consistency, subject matter interests, and audience segmentation ensuring authentic and effective collaborations.

Data Range: The insights provided below are based on data collected between July 1, 2024, and October 31, 2025, across Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).

  • Frequency Score: Measures how often a player posts on Instagram and X. Higher frequency means more consistent activity.
  • Engagement Score: A weighted rating of how fans interact with a player’s posts – likes, comments, shares, and reposts all count toward this score.
  • Total Reach Score: Reflects the combined audience score for each player across Instagram and X accounts.

Audience metrics were determined by Zoomph's consumer insights platform, which has a database of more than 350 million social profiles. Individual audiences were created for each player and analyzed based on their own social following. All audience demographic and psychographic data was anonymized prior to ingestion into Zoomph. Audience data is continually refreshed into the Zoomph platform.
