Fresh off a strong finish to his rookie campaign, C.J. Stroud kicks off the new season atop the NFLPA Top 50 Player Sales List. Close behind are retail stars Patrick Mahomes, Aidan Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Joe Burrow. From a team perspective, the Detroit Lions made a strong NFLPA rankings impact, with three players in the top 10.  

The first list of the season tracks sales of officially licensed NFL player merchandise from March 1 to May 31, 2024. This comprehensive list includes data from online and traditional retail outlets as reported by more than 80 NFLPA licensees and is the only verified ranking of all officially licensed NFL player products. The products range from adult and youth game jerseys, T-shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads, plush toys, socks, face coverings, headbands, figurines, wall decals, backpacks, pennants, photos, drinkware, pet products, and more.

Below are player notes and sales highlights by partner for the first quarter of the new fiscal year, at the start of the 2024 season:

•    Aidan Hutchinson, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Sauce Gardner, and Russell Wilson made significant jumps from the NFLPA’s year-end list to the first-quarter rankings. Hutchinson became the first defensive player to break into the top 3 since Khalil Mack at the start of the 2019 season, surging 15 spots from No. 18 to No. 3. Meanwhile, St. Brown’s rising popularity propelled him 29 spots from No. 33 to No. 4. Gardner climbed 19 spots, from No. 36 to No. 17, while Wilson, a five-time leader on the NFLPA Players Sales List, jumped 24 spots from No. 42 to No. 18, driven by his move from Denver to Pittsburgh.

•    Harrison Butker, Patrick Surtain II, and Penei Sewell made their first appearance on the NFLPA Top 50 list. Butker became only the second placekicker to make the list, following Evan McPherson, who debuted at the start of the 2022 season. Sewell is the third offensive lineman to be featured on any top 50 list, joining Jason Kelce and Alejandro Villanueva.

•    The 2024 NFLPA Rising Stars list continues to predict future Top 50 retail performers. Notable debuts include Jahmyr Gibbs at No. 8, followed by Will Anderson Jr. (No. 24), Puka Nacua (No. 38), Sam LaPorta (No. 44), Breece Hall (No. 47), and J.J. McCarthy (No. 49).

•    Fathead’s hottest-selling wall decals and cutouts featured Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, Josh Allen, T.J. Watt, and Tyreek Hill.

•    The top five players in hardline sales and bobbleheads from Forever Collectibles (FOCO) included Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, DaVonta Smith, and Aaron Rodgers.

•    Iconic Puzzles saw strong sales driven by Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, and Dak Prescott.

•    BreakingT, known for real-time, moment-driven T-shirts, saw significant sales from Saquon Barkley, Josh Allen, and J.J. McCarthy.

•    Highland Mint reported its best-selling framed memorabilia featured Patrick Mahomes, CeeDee Lamb, Joe Burrow, and Josh Allen.

•    Lids reported its top cap sellers as Justin Jefferson, Aidan Hutchinson, and Tua Tagovailoa.

•    Custom sandals from ISlide saw high demand for Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, Justin Jefferson, Sauce Gardner, and Joe Burrow.

•    Figurines and coins from MBI Inc. were top sellers for Joe Burrow, Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Tua Tagovailoa, and Patrick Mahomes.

•    The most popular jerseys, as reported by Dallas Cowboys Merchandising, Fanatics, Nike, Under Armour, and Outerstuff, featured C.J. Stroud, Patrick Mahomes, Aidan Hutchinson, and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

•    FBF, Rock ‘Em, and Strideline’s top-selling socks included Patrick Mahomes, Justin Jefferson, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill.

•    Funko reported strong sales of Pop vinyl collectibles, led by Tua Tagovailoa, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, George Kittle, and Josh Allen.

•    Outerstuff’s top youth apparel featured Jalen Hurts, Sauce Gardner, Garrett Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, and Patrick Mahomes.

•    Trends International’s top-selling player posters showcased Patrick Mahomes, Micah Parsons, Travis Kelce, Joe Burrow, and T.J. Watt.

•    Party Animal’s collectible figurines and squishy toys saw high demand for T.J. Watt, Patrick Mahomes, Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, and Travis Kelce.
