CALEB WILLIAMS SELECTED AS WEEK 11 NFLPA COMMUNITY MVP

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Caleb Williams has been selected as the Week 11 NFL Players Association (NFLPA) Community MVP after hosting 40 members from his youth football team, Caleb Williams Elite, for a memorable weekend in Chicago.

Through his Caleb Cares Foundation, the Chicago Bears quarterback funded the transformative experience, covering flights from Bowie, Maryland to the Windy City, as well as lodging and activities for all participants. This marks the second consecutive season that Williams has earned NFLPA Community MVP honors.

“So many young people look up to athletes. Caleb Cares exists to empower young people with two essential truths: kindness matters because you never know what battle someone else is fighting; and with belief and hard work, any dream is possible,” said Williams, who is an alternate NFLPA player representative for the Bears. “I’m truly honored to receive the NFLPA Community MVP Award for our work and for leading with heart as we empower the next generation.”

On November 8, the student-athletes attended an AI workshop in partnership with Microsoft, where they learned about emerging technology and its real-world applications. The next day, they cheered from their end zone seats at Soldier Field as Williams capped off a thrilling Bears comeback with a 17-yard touchdown scramble in the final two minutes.

Following the game, the group met with several Bears executives, including Chairman George McCaskey, President and CEO Kevin Warren, General Manager Ryan Poles, Special Advisor to the President Ted Crews, Strategic Executive Partner Noor Davis and Team Archivist Claire Blakemore. Each shared their personal journeys, advice and encouragement with the young athletes.

Fresh off the victory, Williams joined the group to break down his mindset during the game-winning drive they had just witnessed. He also shared lessons that he’s learned along the way, offering this advice to his younger self: “When you find something you love, you’re the only one that can make it happen; so make it happen.”

This experience was a continuation of Williams’ mission to empower and inspire youth through Caleb Cares, which focuses on education, mental health and community engagement.

Earlier this season, Williams expanded his nonprofit’s mental wellness efforts through a new virtual reality initiative. The second-year pro recorded a series of fully immersive, inspirational VR meditations, which local youth in his hometown area of Washington, D.C. were invited to experience together. The event provided accessible mindfulness tools for young people and had an immediate, positive impact.

Additionally, Williams and his foundation continue to host 50 local students at each Bears home game, an initiative he started his rookie year.

In recognition of Dawkins being named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 10, the NFL Players Association will donate $10,000 to his nonprofit of choice. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA’s highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.

As part of a new supporting partnership with GoFundMe, fans can now also make a donation directly to the Caleb Cares Foundation here. All donations are tax-deductible and will go directly to the player's selected nonprofit.

Now in its 12th season, the NFLPA’s award-winning Community MVP campaign is part of the union’s continued efforts to support the year-round civic outreach and engagement of its player members. Community MVPs are selected by a committee of NFLPA staff that reviews the weekly nominees, which are submitted by players, agents, marketing representatives and NFL team staff.
