Ready for a change? Make sure to send every agent on your SRA written notice of your intention to terminate it. Acceptable written notice can be an email, letter or fax.
After you terminate your agent(s), you must wait five full calendar days to sign with a new agent.
For example: terminate on a Wednesday? You can’t sign with a new agent until next Tuesday. You can ask your agent to waive this period, but they aren’t required to do so.
